We were filming out independent vampire film DESCENSION www.descensionthemovie.com and apparently there were flying rods around us at an old abandoned diner we filmed at because our editor found them in our footage. This happened last week when l was at a friend's house. My friend and l were having coffee and the man who owned the house was saying that he had a oijiu board and his wife said it was just a stupid game and l said, l had an experience of late which really made me wonder if it was real or not.

This man went on to tell us that since they live so far away from the city, out in the Country, that they did't shut their curtains because there was no one around for miles. l mentioned that as soon as it got dark, l always shut my blinds company or not, because l like my privacy.
He stated that they had just started shutting their blinds after an episode of playing with the oijiu board about 7 nights ago and after that night, he took the board out and burnt it in the fire.
His wife said they did not want to panic the kids so they said it was an animal in pain from being shot and suffering since it was hunting season, but the truth was a little while into the game, our friend looked up and out the picture frame glass window, he saw two red eyes staring right at him through the window. The Devil had decided to visit was right on the antenna of the satellite of the TV, making inhumane sounds which my friends said that neither of them could even begin to describle and they said to look at him, he was like a man with horses legs and his eyes were large, glowing red, a long black tongue and black teeth. The kids in bed were crying to come downstairs, but my friend, the mother did not want to get up because she was afraid of what this thing was going to do so she kept telling the kids that in a few min. she would be right up, so just stay in one bed and hold each other and keep the blinds shut.

My friend just kept staring at him and did not do anything and his wife started praying and whatever the reason the devil just dissapeared. He told his wife to go get the children and bring them downstairs and they heard and raced down.

He went outside with a flashlight to see if it was still around or if it was some kind of joke being played and saw the tree where it had sat had scorch marks on it in -20c weather, but when he looked to see where the tracks where, he saw cloven hoof prints, not footsteps and they went from the tree to the window and he looked around to see where they went from there and the only tracks he saw from there, the thing walked up the wall to the top of his roof.
So he took his wife and kids to his parents house that night because he just was not sure of what to do, and when he got there, his Mother being very Catholic opened the door very upset and he asked her what was wrong and she told him.

While he had seen the Devil, the crosses she had in her home were turned upside down, and all the pictures of Jesus fell on the floor, but the nails were still there in the wall and the figurines she had of Jesus, had all been broken and the sound of breaking glass is what woke her up and she watched as the figurines just shattered one after the other.

There is an old school in Rhodesia Louisiana that has been closed since the 60, s. It was the white school, when all the integration started they shut it down and built a new one. the property for reasons I don't know was left to decay. The derelict building constructed in the 50's became a home to transients and other undesirables so in the early eighties a 10 foot barbed wire toped chain link fence was erected. the three store building with gymnasium and auditorium attached and the surrounding property was all fenced in. what is left of the fence still stands today.
As you might have guessed the fence did not stop much, especially adventurous teen age kids. As kids we used to go to the old school for a place to hang out drink and act ... well like kids. The biggest attraction to this rotting old pile of bricks was that it was a rumored meeting place for occultest, so it was a great place for a group of kids to scare the crap out of each other, especially the girlfriends. It also made it like the Sistine chapel for all the Goth kids. harmless fun for most the kids who went, just a creepy walk through and then sneak away before you get busted. There where although plenty of vandals scrawling graffiti and trashing anything they could. Not to mention the occasional bum or drunken hillbilly looking for young teen girls (neither did I see first hand but only heard of).
Now that you know the back story I will cut to the chase. Me and my friends had been to the school on many occasions but never heard or seen anything strange. It always had the creepy feeling to it, but a huge pitch black derelict building is going to have that feel to it. This time ended a little different though. A friend of mine who had never visited the school went with us. His name is Doug, as a kid he was a little wild and fearless (thank God he grew out of that).There where five of us all together, Justin and his girlfriend patty, Doug, and Mary and I.
The gymnasium has a trap door behind the stage that goes to the basement. The basement is one big room with a concert floor and large concert pillars that runs under most of the school. I seemed to be used in part for storage aside from maintenance type stuff. We had never been down because the ladder had rusted away years before we ever knew of the building.
Doug of course wanted to go down but my buddy Justin my self and the girls didn't want to. The girls where already creeped out and Justin and my self did not want to deal with the 6 or 7 foot drop, and then the climb out. as IM sure you guessed he dared us in to it, challenging our young manhood. So although I was at the time overweight and less than graceful and my buddy Justin short, we went along with it. they lowered me down first because I was the biggest and then Justin lowered Doug's tall skinny butt down. We both helped catch Justin as he dropped down last.
At first it looked to be just piles of old trash and rotting 50's school equipment, the most menacing thing an old dog skeleton from where the poor critter must have fallen in and starved. The air was cooler by maybe 10 degrees but hey we where below ground, right? We weren't really spooked about being down there it was a lot of open space, we had flashlights and well there where three of us. We were having a good time checking out all the old stuff and exploring when the girls started yelling for us to come back up. so we went back to where the hole was to figure out how we where going to get back up.
As I tried to lift Doug up so he could reach the top of the hole Justin said ...."What the @#%^ is that! Me and Doug laughed at him and told him to stop playing and help. We of course though he was full of it till he freaked and tried to climb both of us, knocking us over. He was crying and screaming now and I wont lie that scared the hell out of me. Doug was cussing him and calling him a baby when I saw it. It was about 200 feet away maybe more standing by a pillar. The first thing that came to my mind is that it was a person, maybe a bum or a Satanist living down here. I told Doug to shut up, " someone is down here with us" i told Doug.
Justin was crying and had vomited all over him self by this point. I tried to tell Justin it was just some guy and there where three of us and only one of him. he was not listening to me or Doug. I shined my light to where the guy was but he had moved, I assumed he was behind the pillar. The girls who assumed at first we where trying to scare them had freaked and left for the bronco. Doug openly yelled at the guy because he was now scared but not ready to say so. I decided the best thing to do was get the hell out of there. I told Doug that we would lift up Justin and then he could help pull him up when I lifted him, then they could pull me up.
The plan sounded simple but it didn't end up that way. We had not even started to lift Justin when we started to hear movement. Justin was literally trying to climb me and make me lift him out, I was getting mad by this point so I aided Doug's earlier yelling spree at the unwelcome mystery man. As Doug and I shouted threats and obscenities I response was prompted. There was movement the far left of where he should have been, a bit chilling because we had keep an eye on that spot. We shined our lights on a sight that still chills and confuses me.
The thing (I say that because I cant say what it was) was about five and a half to six feet tall. It was pinkish white in color, it was all out of proportion for a man. Its arms where large and it held them rased slightly at is sides, it seemed to have large hands but they where closed. it was not stooped or hunched over but standing strait up maybe even a bit leaned backwards. Its legs where bowed a bit and seemed to be bent slightly at the knees. Its most freighting feature to me though was its head, its head was shaped sort of like a watermelon stood on its end. It had a large mouth that I never saw open, small eyes sunken in its head so I never caught the color of them. Its nose didn't seem to be there and its ears where more like lumps or knots.
It just stood there as we shined our light on it never moving at all. I was frozen I did not know what to do or say, but Justin's further mental breakdown and Doug's new found panic pulled me out of my daze quick. We scrambled to get out doing as we had planed, we lifted Justin who once up snatched Doug up and then both of them lifting me. Once out we did not waste any time fleeing for our live from the unknown thing. We told the girls who never believed us and sort of blew it off (I think they didn't want to believe us) and acted like we where jerks.
As far as I know the girls never spoke of it as anything but a prank. Justin refused to ever talk about it again and wont till this day. I have spoken to Doug about it on and off over the years, but we have always felt that people would think we where crazy or call us liars if we talked about it openly. recently though I have been dreaming of that night and would like to stop. So this is an attempt (hopefully not in vain) to make the dreams go away for good.
Now to end my tail. First off, I don't care if you think IM crazy or a liar. I wanted to get this off my chest and I have. Secondly if you doubt my story you can check to facts and get a little satisfaction. I don't know if you can find Rhodesia on the web or the old school for that matter, I have never tried. If you can't and you live near oil city or Vivian Louisiana or even texarkana Texas, you can drive there and see first hand. I am not condoning trespassing at all (even though I know some people will), but you can see the school from the outside of the fence. If you are interested enough you can even contact the Rhodesia City hall about the building. Perhaps even take a look inside.

A cockerel in the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan has saved itself from the pot after crowing what its owner claimed was "Allah", the Arabic word for God.

The two-year-old cockerel was set to be turned into chicken soup after its owner, Ibragim Ismatullayev, found it to be extremely aggressive.

However, Mr Ismatullayev has said that as he put the knife to the cockerel's neck, the bird "screamed" and, on hearing this, his five-year-old son said "dad, it's saying 'Allah, Allah'."

NEW DELHI -- A 7-year-old girl wed a stray dog as part of a ritual to ward off the "evil eye" on her and her family in eastern India, a news agency reported Wednesday.
